Why Didn’t I Make Any Sales When I Bought Your Ad?

Interesting question, isn’t it? It’s time to explain what "Internet" advertising is supposed to do for you, as opposed to other forms of advertising methods.

First and foremost, Internet advertising’s CHIEF job is to get YOU a RESPONSE for your offer. The process usually involves getting the prospect or reader to email you, visit your website or call you on the phone. Then either you, your email follow-up, OR your website sells your products OR services. Ads, in general, do NOT make sales for anyone.

If you get replies to your offer, the ad HAS DONE it’s job. It is up to YOU to make a sale, after YOU get a response. If your follow-up stinks or if your website is weak, for any number of reasons, you may NOT sell anything. You "might" get 250 responses to your ad, BUT make NO sales. The ad post was successful BUT you failed to CLOSE the sale.

Has Your Ad DONE It’s Job?

Absolutely. Even a guaranteed ad has no power to sell for you. "YOU" sell for YOU! If you got clicks to your website OR phone calls, OR email replies, your ad did EXACTLY what is was supposed to do. You have to LEARN how to "close" a sale.

If you can’t close a sale with a 200 person Response Rate, you have OTHER problems, not the ad. The ad DID the job. It got responses. YOU failed to close the sales process. Your advertising process worked! Your sales material did NOT work.

What’s the Solution? Simple Really….

Make sure your website text, IS "sales" material. Be certain that your follow-up is outstanding, even if you have to PAY FOR professional help. Otherwise, don’t expect TOO many sales.

Ads don’t sell, YOU do!
